Off topic: Como Town’s Hotel Fire Ride

by Josh Kimball

OK. Seriously, how weird is it that there’s a ride at local listenerd summer-time amusement park hotspot Como Town that forces children to pretend there is a SERIOUS AND DEADLY FIRE blazing in a LARGE 3-STAR HOTEL, and that it is their job to put it out?

As you can see, a wall of flames clearly licks the windows on every floor of the hotel, indicating a serious conflagration, which must – I can only imagine – spur the children to fight the fire that much harder. Thankfully, what’s happening beyond the hotel’s fiery facade is left to the imagination, lest riders (who must be, I think, at least 56 inches tall) catch a glimpse of smoke-blackened businessmen and terrified vacationers battling asphyxiation and clawing for their very lives.
