Here is 8-year-old Wisconsin blues guitarist Tallan “T-Man” Latz playing Stevie Ray Vaughn’s “Tin Pan Alley. Mr. Latz isn’t supposed to play Wisconsin bars anymore due to child labor laws.

I hate to rag on an 8-year-old, but seriously, I showed this kid’s business card to a friend of mine the other day during our discussion of why the blues sucks so hard right now. I think I also used the term “minstrel show.”
So i’ve researched the hell out of this kid. and decided he’s way over rated.. he sticks to twelve bar blues jams and doesn’t play the chord changes then he just shreds the root the whole way through, and mostly first position blues scale through and through. Granted this kid is about 1 – 2 years ahead of the curve. MANY MANY kids the age of 10 and 11 can play at this level and higher
