How to Really Know Someone Vol. 2

It’s been more than two months since my last installment for this series and I’m here to rectify that. I found this tag through Corinth and the list of all the fun questions can be seen here. I like that the questions really makes me stop for a moment and think, and it also shows the brains, er thoughts, of me that’s not usually seen from my usual travel and personal posts. Except, maybe, you’ll get a hint of it from what I posts on twitter.

Without further ado, here are the Q&As.

8. Have you ever blown your top? Why?

A few times, before. I am not a very patient person and being a perfectionist doesn’t help at all! To be fair, I’ve only really blown my top at home (the only place you’ll hear me shouting, lol), and it’s been a really, really long time since the last one. I’ve blown up at my brothers/cousins when they’re being really annoying, irresponsible, or loud. I also consider it as blowing my top when I’m really quiet or painfully polite, which is what I do to people I’m not close to. I’m passive-aggressive. And sometimes I just use carefully constructed sentences to tell people off. I like using words as knifes sometimes. Hahaha!

9. How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you are?

This depends on the day, tbh! Some days, I feel like I’m 18 when I’m just out travelling, going to concerts, or having fun. When I’m swamped with responsibilities and very haggard, I feel like I’m 25 or older. Right now, I’m okay with feeling like my age. But I’m also looking forward to being 22, just for the purpose of singing along to Taylor Swift’s 22 and using the lyrics as my status on all my social media accounts.

10. You’re having lunch with three people you respect and admire. They all start criticizing a close friend of yours, not knowing she is your friend. The criticism is distasteful and unjustified. What do you do?

I’d call them out on their distasteful attitude. My mom always said I should learn to keep my mouth shut more so I won’t get into arguments, but I don’t feel right if I can at least inform people of their wrongdoings and not do it. Especially if it’s a close friend of mine! I’m overprotective of the people I care about, and if your attitude is uncalled for, I’ll let you know. But I’ll probably do it in a really polite way. Or in a passive-aggressive way. I don’t do shouting or cursing matches. It’s just not me.

11. If you could paint a picture of any scenery you’ve seen before, what would you paint?

I would probably paint my family and I behind a 4×4 while driving along Paoay Sand Dunes while the sun is setting! It’s one of my fondest memories so far, and I love the place. I would definitely travel another 11 hours just to be there again.

12, In the case of prevention of overpopulation, should some people be prohibited from reproducing?

Prohibited from reproducing at all? No, I don’t think so. BUT, at the very least, inform all people thoroughly about family planning. I’m actually pro-two-children policy. Especially for those living in the slums. Is that a harsh opinion? Yes, but I’ve seen really poor couples having at least five kids when they have no consistent source of salary. I see infants sleeping near train tracks and hiding under trees when it’s raining. I see kids drinking out the soup in instant cup noodles then refilling it with hot water just to get more out of it.

13. You discover that because of a mix-up at the hospital, your wonderful one-year-old child is not yours. Would you want to exchange the child to try to correct the mistake?

YES. It sucks bigtime that a year was wasted with a one-year-old that I think would be totally adorable but still is not my kid. And your own kid was with someone else. But a year is nothing compared to the lifetime you can have with your own son/daughter. I’d probably also sue the hospital because that is just not cool.

14. Have you ever seen a person, an animal, or something else die? How did you feel about it?

I’ve seen our puppy die because it was run-over by a truck that didn’t even bother stopping. I think I was around 7 at the time and I remember crying over my puppy. It’s really, really sad and he was only a few months old. His name was Brownie and it’s one of my earliest memory. I also saw my aunt slowly dying because of cancer. It’s really not something I want to experience ever again.

To make this more fun and interactive, if you’re doing this tag on your blog as well, link me back or leave a comment below that you’re doing it and I’ll share your posts alongside my own questions. Kind of like some unofficial link-ups, lol. And so other people can read what another’s opinions on questions like these are. It’ll be fun!

What would your answers be to the questions above?
